This example is for manufacturers, suppliers and commerce teams that need to manage a catalogue and expose it through an API. It is a catalogue administration system, not a storefront with a cart and checkout.
Structure
| Module | Entities and purpose |
|---|---|
| Assortment | Category, Brand, Product, ProductVariant, ProductSpecification, Tag — products, variants and specifications |
| Supply | Supplier, Offer — suppliers, prices and offer terms |
| Virtual views | CatalogView and SupplierOfferView — selected fields from related records in a combined response |
Suggested walkthrough
- Open Product and a product record. Inspect its category, brand, variants and specifications.
- Switch the content language and compare the prepared translations.
- Open Offer to compare price, currency, minimum order quantity and lead time.
- Open CatalogView, then Dashboard's API section. Compare individual records with the virtual view.
The interface and virtual views are generated from the model; this example has no separate custom storefront. Views use the supported single relationship hop. The demo account lets you explore records without saving changes.
